P.O.D. - Change The World Lyrics Album: Payable On Death Imagine a place only your soul can vision The heart of a child who looks, sees and listens She paints a picture using every color And what she sees, she sees is like no other [Chorus] One word, a voice unheard You can change the world With everything I know you're made of One word, a voice unheard You can change the world If everyone would stop and listen The arts of innocence makes so much sense But placed in the wrong hands, well then it's wasted Filtered through the eyes of a pure mind A one-of-a-kind paradise for you and I (You and I) [Chorus] Break the cycle, find your rhythm Share the gift that you've been given You can You can change the world You can change the world [Chorus (repeat)] Ben, No need to apologize for writing to me and using that to vent a bit. You say it helpe you get some clarity. Nothing to be sorry for in that. There is something I'll say, which you've heard me say before. And yes, I know, you think it sounds to easy and too hard: easy to say; hard to do. Well, I suppose it is easy to say, if you don't count all the knocks I took in life getting to where I could say it. And, hard, well sure, I guess so. But what isn't hard. This is only hard before you do it. Once you do it, it's easy. So the solution is always at hand. You are what you do, my friend. Find something worth doing and do it or something worth leaning and learn it. It doesn't matter what it is. It doesn't matter if after you do it, it isn't what you thought it would be. It doesn't matter if afterwards you think you're in the same place, because that simply cannot be true. Want to go to Spain? Tibet? Make it happen. Want to play guitar: do whatever it takes. Live, breath, sleep guitar until you've done it. Want to learn sub-atomic physics: the same applies. The thing is to choose something and do it all the way...no breaks...until the wheels come off. The rest - the girls, the buddies, God - all bullshit. These are not things you do; they are things that happen to you while you are out there living life - and to live is to take risks, appoint challenges and to actively stretch the essential you are given: head, heart and hand - knowlege, love and work. By knowlege I mean what we learn from being actively in pursuit of skill and/or understanding of just about anything, by love I mean the willingness to give oneself to another and to take what is offered by another without preconditions or expectations; by work I mean the active engagement of ones body in the creationg of just about anything. And so, you see...the problem isn't that there aren't safety blankets. The problem is that we think there should be. Ari
